Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine is a mercurial artist and songwriter who mixes folk gospel, soul and R&B in her signature blend. From Broadway to European events and bars, Avery Sunshine has been a hit all over the world. Sunshine has been born Denise White. She is originally from Chester Pennsylvania, where she began her music career singing and playing piano in church. She went to Spellman College in Atlanta where she began her journey to become a musician within the city's R&B scene. The Fighting Temptations The single with her voice on it,"Stalk You the House is only available in Japan. It's been remixed many times, and it is a mainstay of her live shows. The singer also contributed her voice to the soundtrack for The Fighting Temptations. She was then hired as the lead keyboardist for Tyler Perry's stage musical Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday, a Grammy and Tony Award winning vocalist who performed on stage in the production Dreamgirls at the National Black Arts Festival of Atlanta in 2007, approached her to be the director of choral for this theatrical production. Sunshine was noticed by the nation during 4 performances per day during 2008's Democratic National Convention. Sunshine was later invited to sing for President Barack Obama at his inauguration.
