Emeraude Toubia

Emeraude Toubia was born in Canada. She is most well-known to Canadians because of her character as an Canadian actress on the Freeform fantasy television show Shadowhunters. In addition, she was a part of in Venevision telenovelas Cosita linda and Voltea and a'que te enamores. Other talents she has include being an accomplished model as well as a dancer. Born in Montreal, she was brought up in Texas. She's always enjoyed performing. As a kid she was trained to dance in various forms. She began participating in beauty contests around the age of 15. In 1999, she made her first on-screen appearance in Televisa's children's program El Mundo de los Ninos. Toubia was a household name during 2008, when she was a guest in Nuestra Belleza Latina's second season, which is a Univision beauty contest show. In 2010 she made her debut on stage as a receptionist on the Telemundo's television show Aurora. In 2015, she appeared in the action thriller Tattooed Love, her debut film.
